Overview
Our firm is deeply committed to providing legal services without charge to individuals and communities who lack access to representation. We believe that the law carries a responsibility beyond commercial practice one that can improve lives, strengthen communities, and contribute meaningfully to the public good.
Pro bono work is an integral part of our professional culture. Each year, our lawyers dedicate substantial time and expertise to matters that are often urgent, complex, and life-changing for the people and organizations we serve. These matters range from individual representations to broader initiatives addressing systemic legal challenges, and each is approached with the same care, rigor, and resources as our fee-based work.
We support and staff pro bono matters with the full backing of the firm. Pro bono contributions are valued on par with billable work and are recognized meaningfully in performance evaluations, professional development, and advancement. This ensures that service and excellence remain aligned.
All of our lawyers from early-career associates to senior leadership are encouraged to participate in pro bono work that reflects their interests, experience, and availability. Our pro bono practice spans a wide range of areas, including support for farmers and rural communities, assistance to marginalized and underserved populations, public-interest and civil rights matters, access to government benefits, education and health-related rights, and ongoing counsel to nonprofit and social-impact organizations.
We frequently collaborate with clients, civil society groups, and public-interest institutions to expand the reach and effectiveness of our efforts. Through these partnerships, we aim not only to provide legal solutions, but also to help build long-term capacity where it is most needed.
